Here at The Outdoor Experience, we understand that you want to create a flexible experience that fits to your needs and holiday schedule. We specialize in creating bespoke holidays, from a days kayaking to a whole week adventure.
Our most popular activities are highlighted on our website, but with 15 collective years experience in the region, we can help organise many other outdoor activities and guided adventures.

Our responsibilities don’t just stop when the activities end; we ensure that all our guests are well looked after throughout the entire time you’re with us. This includes before and after your trip. Companies often take as many bookings as possible and juggle staff to pack several activities in a single day. We however limit our bookings to 24 guests a week and have a staffing ratio of 1-8. This way you and your family or friends have our exclusive attention, with our staff on hand every step of the way.

We fully document your holiday, on the river and off, meaning you can focus on having fun and getting the most out of the activities. We even give each family a go-pro for the duration of the activity so you can  film your experience without the worry of using your own equipment. It’s our pleasure to then quickly upload all your videos and photos on to a memory card so you can take them with you at the end of the day.

Our staff team not only have an extensive amount of experience and knowledge of all our activities, but also of the beautiful Ardeche region. We’re constantly exploring and trying new activities to remain up-to-date and aware of the area. Not only do we share this information with our guests, but we also train up our new staff members to ensure our team is the most knowledgeable and high quality in the area.

We believe your trip should be as hassle-free as possible and therefore provide you with a tasty lunch on all activity days, as well as an evening meal and breakfast during the overnight bivouac stay. All our food is made by our chef using local produce to create healthy and well-balanced meals. We ensure our food is appropriate for children and are happy to cater for any special dietary requirements or allergies. We can also provide birthday cakes!

We ensure you are always equipped with the necessary equipment and safety equipment for all our activities. Our equipment meets AALA standards and is regularly maintained.
We also ensure you are well equipped for a hassle-free trip by providing easy to carry dry bags, hammocks and sleeping bags, cool boxes and large water bottles whilst on the river descent.

We understand the importance of good business and strive to build positive relations with local businesses. Wherever possible, we use local produce and work closely with nearby businesses to benefit the local French community.
We're constantly exploring the local region and always like to recommend some of our favourite places. Please see RECOMMEDED BY US for some of our reviews.

This is YOUR holiday, and we fully accept that not everyone will want to go at the same pace. That's why we ensure you control the speed; it can be as adventurous or relaxing as you want and we're more than happy to supervise children who want more action. While they're jumping off rocks or flying through the trees, you can sit back and relax knowing they're in safe hands.

Every step of the way, our experienced staff are there to help and coach you through your fears and trepidations. If at any point, you don’t feel comfortable, then you don’t have to take part. This is part of our Challenge By Choice policy and we promise we’ll make watching just as fun as taking part!
